Halloween Magic at Camp Shine

Two enchanting nights to choose from:

✨🌙✨

Thursday, Oct. 29 – Family Journey
Friday, Oct. 30 – Family Journey

Coming soon..

🌙✨Your journey awaits…🌙✨

When the night comes and shadows play,
Families gather to find their way.
A secret path, a whispered song,
Guides your steps as you move along.

The pigs lie sleeping, soft and sound,
While goats stir gently all around.
The hens are nestled, dreams take flight,
The horses shimmer in lantern light.
Closed-toed shoes will serve you best,
For hidden wonders on your quest.

Through fields and barns where lanterns sway,
Will-o’-the-wisps light your way.
Fairies twinkle, giants sleep, Whispers of magic drift and seep.
And when the moon climbs high and bright,
Gracie transforms—a unicorn of night.

Each step reveals, as night bestows,
The mystery only the farm night knows.
When lanterns glow and stars appear,
Camp Shine awakens—magic draws near.
So walk with care, let wonder grow,
The farm by night begins to glow.

Each step reveals, as night bestows,
The mystery only the farm night knows.
When lanterns glow and stars appear,
Camp Shine awakens—magic draws near.
So walk with care, let wonder grow,
The farm by night begins to glow.

Camp Shine little ones under canopy of trees

For as long as Camp Shine has been around, we’ve dreamed of offering a truly special Halloween Journey on the farm — one filled with enchantment, wonder, and mystery. An evening that’s beautiful, inspiring, and leaves you walking away with delight.

This fall, that dream finally comes to life! Camp Shine will glow with magic over two enchanting nights — our Halloween Journey (Friday night) and Harvest + Halloween Journey (Saturday night) — each filled with lantern light, farm charm, and a touch of autumn wonder.

And, of course, we must answer the question everyone’s been asking…
Does Gracie really turn into a unicorn at night?
There’s only one way to find out — you’ll have to come see for yourself!

    Farm SchoolFrequently Asked Questions

Can I stay with my child at camp?

We know it can be tough to leave your child especially if it’s the first time, but we do not allow parents to stay at camp. We are a drop off only program.

Can I check out camp prior to enrolling my child?

This is a great question, we offer open houses throughout the year and do our best to host one prior to an enrollment period that allows for you to check out Camp SHINE. Please be on the lookout for our next one. (Be sure to subscriobe out mailing list for notifications on upcoming events like this).

Do you offer individual tours of Camp SHINE?

We do not. Since we are a smaller organization, we don’t have the time to individually meet with families. As parents ourselves, we know how much we LOVE our kids, we are always happy to chat with you over the phone and answer any questions you might have. Reach out to us at hello@campshine.com with your phone number to request a call from us.

I really want my child to make friends and have community. Does this happen at Camp SHINE?

YES! We have had so many families create lasting friendships here at Camp SHINE. We have a very warm and welcoming program and as a byproduct, it is very easy for the kids to create friendships. Many kids even get together outside of Camp SHINE.

What can I expect my child to learn at Camp SHINE?

Great question! Your child will learn to use their heart, hands and mind here at Camp SHINE.

We teach animal husbandry/gardening and what it is like to run and tend the farm.

We also teach elements that are a bit of a lost art, handwork, weaving, felting, herbs and plants as ways to care for our bodies, building and cooking, (all of which is great for eye hand coordination, fine motor skills/large motor skills and is relaxing and meditative.)

We also seek to see what yourI child SHINES at and we welcome them to teach us their skills and knowledge practicing leadership skills and confidence building!

We also enjoy hiking and the seasons, instilling a love of nature.

We also love to teach about the nervous system and ways to care for yourself, your neighbor and also the planet. We love weaving in tool such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), mindfulness and gratitude. Our intent is to help build resilient and confident children who SHINE.

How do the mixed ages work since it is K-6th?

It works amazingly well!! Instead of being a classroom with comparisons, we are more like a family. The older children assume leadership roles and the little ones raise to the occasion. All the activities we do, are enjoyed by all ages, even adults. We really enjoy our mixed ages program.

How do I use charter funds?...help!

We get it, using funds can be confusing for the first time. To get started with us, please scroll up on this page and read our MUST READ POLICIES FOR USING CHARTER FUNDS which will walk you step by step on what you need to do to register with us using funds.
